Gold is part of Indian weddings, festivals and family savings, as well as investment portfolios. A jewellery buyer and a futures trader may both search for the gold rate in India, but they need different price bases.
International gold, the US dollar, USD/INR, import costs, duties, interest-rate expectations, inflation concerns, uncertainty and domestic demand can all affect the number. Check purity, weight, timestamp and exclusions before reacting to a daily move. An “all India gold rate” is a reference, not a guaranteed price at every shop.

24K is a high-purity gold category commonly quoted for bars and coins. Verify exact fineness and product standard.

Local jewellery selling prices can differ because of premiums, making charges, GST, purity, net weight and other applicable invoice charges. Buyback rates can be different again.
Uttar Pradesh covers different local markets. No sourced UP price was supplied or verified. Use a named city/seller quote with its timestamp rather than assigning Delhi’s number to the whole state.
Indian bullion prices are linked to global gold markets, but a dollar-per-troy-ounce quote is not an Indian retail invoice. Currency conversion, weight units, import costs, domestic premiums and timing all matter. Compare quotes on the same basis before explaining a change.
A weaker rupee can raise the rupee cost of imported gold, all else equal. A fall in dollar gold may therefore be partly offset by currency weakness. The international price and the exchange rate can move together or in opposite directions.
Import costs and applicable duties affect the domestic bullion base. Jewellery invoices can also contain making charges and GST. A change in tax policy is not the same as an intraday change in gold’s market value; check the operative notification and the invoice basis.
Gold does not pay a contractual coupon. Changes in real interest rates can alter its opportunity cost, while inflation expectations and currency concerns can affect demand. Neither a rate cut nor a high inflation reading guarantees a gold-price rise: expectations and other market forces matter.
Uncertainty can increase demand for gold, but liquidity needs, positioning and exchange-rate changes can pull the other way. Headlines can cause sharp two-way moves. A safe-haven label does not make gold free of drawdowns.
Weddings, festivals and seasonal purchases influence local demand and premiums. Recycling and available supply matter too. Demand can vary by region, and a quoted all-India reference should not be treated as every jeweller’s executable selling or buyback price.
Conditional market outlook, not a forecast price path. No live feed or validated prediction model is connected.
Gold prices can change rapidly. A five-day outlook should be interpreted as market analysis, not a guaranteed future price. Current trend, momentum and support/resistance levels are not assessed without reliable data.
Watch official inflation releases, central-bank communications, USD/INR, international gold and domestic policy notifications. No unverified event date or technical target is supplied. These conditions can offset each other.
MCX Gold futures are not a retail jewellery price. Contract purity and units vary across Gold, Gold Mini, Gold Ten and other products.
MCX’s standard Gold product is a 1 kg contract deliverable at 995 purity. Gold Ten is a separate 10 gram product at 999 purity. This distinction matters for searches such as “gold rate today MCX 24 carat”. Expiry, quotation unit, margin, settlement and delivery rules must be read from the relevant latest specification.
A futures last-traded price is not the cash needed for the full exposure, a one-gram retail quote or an executable jewellery invoice. Margin calls and gap risk remain.
View official MCX specifications Trade in MCX Gold: understand the risks first| Feature | 24K gold | 22K gold |
|---|---|---|
| Purity basis | High-purity category; verify fineness such as 999 | Common jewellery fineness: 916 (91.6%) |
| Composition | Mostly gold; exact product standard matters | Gold alloyed with other metals |
| Common use | Investment bars and coins | Jewellery |
| Appearance | Usually rich yellow | Varies with alloy and finish |
| Quoted price | Usually higher on a comparable gold-content basis | Usually lower; premiums and making charges can alter the invoice |
Gold content is one reason per-gram prices differ. Manufacturing, dealer spread and the product’s purity standard also matter. BIS hallmarking information explains purity verification; a colour or photograph cannot establish fineness.
A historical search needs a historical date.
If you searched for “1 gram today gold rate 2025”, select the exact 2025 date, city and purity in a reliable archive. No 2025 historical price is supplied here. Select a dated archive rather than relabelling a later quote as a 2025 rate.
There is no single executable retail gold price for every buyer in India. Compare a dated quote with its source, purity, weight unit and tax basis. TradeGrows shows a manually reviewed 14 October 2026 publisher reference where accepted, not a connected live feed.
Check the 24K card only when a sourced quote and observation time are available. Fine gold is often described by fineness such as 999, while the exact bullion or coin standard should be verified. A number without its basis should not be used as a purchase quote.
22K gold contains alloying metals and is commonly used for jewellery; 916 fineness denotes 91.6% gold content. The 22K quoted selling rate, making charges and taxes can differ by supplier. It should not automatically be calculated as exactly 22/24 of a 24K retail quote.
For a like-for-like quote expressed per 10 grams, divide by 10 to obtain its per-gram reference. Do not assume a one-gram retail coin has the same per-gram invoice cost: fabrication, packaging and dealer premiums may differ.
Use a dated 24K reference for 10 grams, then check whether GST, making charges or other premiums are included. The dated 14 October 2026 source reference is shown above where accepted; it is not a dealer invoice.
Global gold prices, USD/INR, interest-rate expectations, positioning and domestic premiums change. Jewellery sellers may update at different times. A day-on-day movement requires the same source and quote basis on both days.
An imported bullion reference reflects the international price converted into rupees and the relevant weight unit, plus applicable import costs and local premiums. A retail invoice can add other charges. For our estimator, metal value equals weight in grams multiplied by the entered rupee rate per gram.
No. MCX prices belong to a named futures contract with a trading unit, expiry and delivery/settlement specification. Standard Gold is a 1 kg contract with 995 delivery purity; Gold Ten is a different 10 gram contract with 999 purity. Verify the latest contract specification. Neither price is a final jewellery invoice.
International gold, the rupee–dollar exchange rate, duties and taxes, real interest-rate expectations, uncertainty, local demand and premiums can all matter. No single factor explains every daily move, and their relationships are not constant.
Not with certainty. TradeGrows has no validated prediction model or connected live series for this page, so it does not publish numerical targets or support/resistance levels. The outlook section is a conditional watchlist, not a guaranteed price path or trade signal.
24K denotes a high-purity gold category commonly associated with bars and coins. 22K is an alloy commonly used for jewellery. Check the exact fineness, product standard and invoice rather than relying on a label alone. Different fabrication costs can alter the per-gram selling price.
Dealer premiums, supply, product specification, local selling practices and update times can differ. A city comparison is meaningful only when its source, purity, date and tax basis match. Kerala is a state, not a city; it is labelled as a state.
